Supervision and Training

Despite having many years clinical experience, I chose to wait quite a while before taking my Supervision Training; I needed to know that I had matured sufficiently as a therapist before taking on the responsibility of supporting other therapists. Since completing my training with Leicester University I now have six years supervision experience under my belt and enjoy supporting, encouraging and challenging other therapists in their work.

If you are looking for a change of supervisor I would invite you to come for a mutual assessment session to see if what I have to offer could match your needs for supervision. There is no charge for this assessment and I am happy to negotiate a manageable rate for those in training.

Working as a Trainer with Relate, I have experience in working with groups of all kinds offering Counselling skills, Relationship work and Workshops on Stress. I am happy to talk to any organisation about how I could tailor a course to suit your particular needs and budget.

Feedback from a recent workshop on "The Imperfect Therapist" includes :

"Beyond my expectation. The openness of all involved allowed for personal reflection and self challenge on our individual interpretations:
"The facilitator's approach allowed for spontaneity. Not too structured which would have taken away from the very essence of the subject."
"Way beyond expectation - fantastic"
"Really good facilitator - able to draw things together and encourage us"
"Really helpful content - not too many handouts! The ones we were given were clear, concise and potentially very helpful."
